Description: This attribute holds the threshold value of free DS0 counts on the VISM card. A trap is sent out if the number of free ds0s fall below this threshold.
What is vismFreeDs0Threshold?
This read-write Integer32 (0-248) sets the free-DS0-count threshold below which VISM sends a trap warning that the card is running low on available DS0 timeslots. An admin cares because this trap gives early warning of capacity exhaustion before new calls start failing to find a free DS0. For example, an operator running a VISM card near full capacity would set this threshold high enough (e.g. 20) to get advance notice before free DS0s actually run out.
