OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-DSX1-MIB::vismEcanCnfNRN

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.4.3.5.1.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Echo canceler re-enable (NRN). This object determines when an echo canceler re-enable and begins cancellation after it has been disabled.

'reenableOnModemData': Re-enable canceler when modem data is gone (low energy). 'reenableOnCallEnd' : Re-enable canceler at end of call, This object is not applicable when vismEcanToneDisable 'ignore'.

What is vismEcanCnfNRN?

This read-only INTEGER determines when the echo canceler re-enables and resumes cancellation after being disabled: when modem data energy drops (reenableOnModemData) or at the end of the call (reenableOnCallEnd, not applicable when vismEcanToneDisable is ignore). This setting affects how quickly echo cancellation resumes protecting voice quality after a modem tone triggers a temporary disable, which an admin balances against the risk of re-enabling too early and corrupting ongoing modem data. For instance, a line mostly used for fax rather than mixed voice/data might use reenableOnCallEnd to avoid any risk of cancellation kicking back in mid-transmission.
