Module: CISCO-VISM-DSX1-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-DSX1-MIB::vismDsx1DialTO

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.4.3.5.1.1.1.20

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Description: Time in seconds for which the dial tone will be generated unless interrupted (e.g. by the first DTMF digit from the calling party). The value Zero indicates that the tone will be generated indefinitely unless interrupted.

This MIB object is not applicable unless the value of vismDsx1TonePlanRegion and vismDsx1TonePlanVersion MIB objects are not 'NULL' string.

What is vismDsx1DialTO?

This Integer32 (0..3600), in seconds, sets how long dial tone is generated unless interrupted by the first DTMF digit from the caller, with zero meaning indefinite; it requires a non-NULL tone plan. This effectively acts as a no-digits-dialed timeout, letting an admin ensure a line doesn't sit generating dial tone forever if a caller picks up and never dials. For example, an admin might tune vismDsx1DialTO shorter to reclaim resources faster when callers leave the phone off-hook without dialing.
