Module: CISCO-VISM-DSX1-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-DSX1-MIB::vismDsx1BusyTO

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.4.3.5.1.1.1.18

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Time in seconds for which the busy tone will be generated unless interrupted (e.g. by the hangup from the calling party). The value Zero indicates that the tone will be generated indefinitely unless interrupted.

This MIB object is not applicable unless the value of vismDsx1TonePlanRegion and vismDsx1TonePlanVersion MIB objects are not 'NULL' string.

What is vismDsx1BusyTO?

This Integer32 (0..3600), in seconds, sets how long the busy tone is generated unless interrupted by the caller hanging up, with zero meaning indefinite; it requires a non-NULL tone plan. This ensures a caller reaching a busy line hears the busy indication for a bounded time rather than tying up resources indefinitely if they don't hang up. For example, an admin standardizing call-teardown behavior across trunks would set vismDsx1BusyTO to a consistent value so busy signals don't linger differently on different lines.
