vismChanUserMaxMbsIngress

Module: CISCO-VISM-CONN-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-CONN-MIB::vismChanUserMaxMbsIngress

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.3.1.1.1.53

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This object defines the user configured MBS (Maximum Burst Size). This object is meaningful for VBR connections only. This object defines the MBS value for the ingress direction of the PVC. The MBS value cannot be greater than 10 times vismChanScrIngress value.

What is vismChanUserMaxMbsIngress?

This read-write Unsigned32 object (1-2147483647), in the cells-per-second units as labeled in the MIB, defines a user-configured Maximum Burst Size for VBR connections, applicable to the ingress direction, and cannot exceed 10 times vismChanScrIngress. This mirrors vismChanMbsIngress but as an explicit user override, letting an admin set a burst ceiling independent of the automatically derived value while still respecting the same 10x SCR cap. An engineer manually tuning burst tolerance for a VBR connection would use this user-max object to set a specific MBS value rather than accepting the system default.
