This Counter32 tracks the total attempts to add or modify a PVC on a VISM virtual port that were rejected by port-level CAC. A rising count here indicates the virtual port itself, not an individual channel or PVC, has hit a bandwidth or capacity ceiling for admitting new PVCs. An admin planning capacity for a heavily loaded VISM virtual port would monitor this counter to know when additional PVC provisioning attempts are being blocked at the port level.

How to Use in IPNetwork Monitor

On the next page, click Select... to open the built-in SNMP MIB Browser and type vismPortCacPvcAddFailures into the Find box to locate it in the OID tree, then select it and click OK.
