Module: CISCO-VISM-CAC-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-CAC-MIB::vismChanVADDutyCycle
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.3.1.3.1.8
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-write
Description: This object refers to the talk-spurts duty cycle.
A value of zero indicates the card level object vismVADDutyCycle(defined in CISCO-VISM-MODULE-MIB MIB) value will be used.
Configuring this object will not have any affect when card level CAC object vismCacEnable(defined in CISCO-VISM-MODULE-MIB MIB) is disabled.
What is vismChanVADDutyCycle?
This read-write Integer32 object, in units of 0.01 percentage, refers to the talk-spurts duty cycle for a channel, with zero meaning the card-level vismVADDutyCycle default applies, and it has no effect if card-level CAC is disabled. This setting tells CAC what fraction of time a typical call on this channel is expected to be actively talking versus silent, directly influencing how much bandwidth CAC can safely reclaim via VAD. An engineer modeling bandwidth needs for a channel carrying unusually chatty (low-silence) traffic would raise this duty cycle above the card default to prevent CAC from over-provisioning bandwidth savings.
