OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-CAC-MIB::vismChanCacPassedCons

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.3.1.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: This attribute defines the count of connections that passed successfully the CAC function. CAC functionality is applied either due to 1) The CRCX message sent to VISM from the Call Agent to set up a new connection OR at the time of 'addcid' command in AAL2 trunking application. 2) Upspeed request due to fax/modem tone detection on a connection configured for compression.

What is vismChanCacPassedCons?

This Counter32 tracks how many connections successfully passed the CAC function, triggered either by a CRCX message setting up a new connection (or an 'addcid' command in AAL2 trunking) or by an upspeed request from fax/modem tone detection. A steadily growing count here confirms CAC is actively evaluating and admitting connections rather than being bypassed, and it establishes a baseline to compare against rejected connections. An admin auditing trunk bandwidth utilization would compare this counter to vismChanCacRejectedCons to gauge how often calls are being admitted versus turned away.
