vismAal2CidCasTransport
Module: CISCO-VISM-ATM-TRUNK-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-ATM-TRUNK-MIB::vismAal2CidCasTransport
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.3.4.1.1.11
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: This attribute defines whether the CAS(Channel Associated Signaling) bits need to be transported to the other endpoint. In the case of switching application, the CAS bits are backhauled to the call agent through xGCP(Gateway Control Protocol)-CAS protocol.
Note that if the line signaling type is CAS the default value is 'true(1)', else the default value is 'false(2)'.
What is vismAal2CidCasTransport?
This read-write TruthValue object controls whether CAS (Channel Associated Signaling) bits are backhauled to the call agent via xGCP-CAS protocol for a switching application, defaulting to true when the line signaling type is CAS and false otherwise. Getting this setting wrong on a CAS-signaled line means the call agent loses visibility into signaling state changes like on-hook/off-hook or ringing. An engineer configuring a channel on a CAS trunk would verify this object is enabled to ensure the call agent receives proper signaling backhaul.
