OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.52.14.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CucsVnicPortProfileType

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS vm:VnicProfInst:profileType managed object property

What is cucsVmVnicProfInstProfileType?

This read-only CucsVnicPortProfileType value reports the type of port profile (e.g. static vs. dynamic VM-FEX port profile) that this Profile Instance represents. The profile type affects how UCS Manager provisions the underlying dynamic vNICs, so an admin diagnosing an unexpected vNIC count or behavior on a host would check this field to know which provisioning model is in play. For the instance of port-profile 'VM-Data-PP' pushed down onto the VIC adapter in blade chassis 1, slot 3, this OID reporting a dynamic profile type would tell an admin that VM vNIC attachments on that instance are being handled through VM-FEX's dynamic vNIC mechanism rather than a static mapping.
