Since a UCS domain can contain many vNIC Profile Instance instances (one row per instantiation of a profile class on a given host's adapter), the DN is what lets monitoring tools or scripts pin an SNMP row to the exact instance it describes rather than just the object type. For example, an admin troubleshooting the instance of port-profile 'VM-Data-PP' pushed down onto the VIC adapter in blade chassis 1, slot 3 would read this OID to get a DN like 'org-root/...dn', letting them jump straight to that instance in UCS Manager instead of searching through the whole tree.
