Type: Gauge32

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS vm:VnicProfCl:policyLevel managed object property

What is cucsVmVnicProfClPolicyLevel?

This read-only Gauge32 value reports the policy-resolution hierarchy level at which the settings for this vNIC Profile Class instance were actually resolved. UCS policies can be inherited from a parent organization or overridden lower down, so this number tells an admin how far up the org tree UCS Manager had to look before it found the effective settings for this vNIC Profile Class instance. For a port-profile class named 'VM-Data-PP' that several VMware ESXi hosts' VMs attach their vNICs to, a policyLevel of 0 would mean the policy was defined directly at that instance's own organization, while a higher value would mean it inherited settings from an ancestor org further up the tree.
