What is cucsVmVlanSwitchId?
This value identifies the fabric switch side associated with a VLAN carried on the distributed virtual switch/port-profile for VM network traffic. An admin uses cucsVmVlanSwitchId to know whether this VM adapter, HBA, or VLAN mapping is currently associated with fabric side A or B, which affects failover behavior if one fabric interconnect goes down. For example, if fabric side A fails, an admin can check cucsVmVlanSwitchId across adapters to predict which VM connections will need to fail over to side B.
