What is cucsVmSwitchPolicyOwner?
This CucsPolicyPolicyOwner value identifies who owns and can modify the policy governing a distributed virtual switch (DVS), such as a Nexus 1000V or VMware vDS, integrated with UCS -- either UCS Manager locally or an external controlling system. An admin troubleshooting a policy that won't change through the local UCS Manager GUI checks cucsVmSwitchPolicyOwner to see whether ownership has been ceded to an external manager, which would explain why local edits are rejected or ignored. For example, in a UCS domain managed centrally, cucsVmSwitchPolicyOwner may show ownership assigned away from the local UCS Manager, meaning updates must be made through that central tool instead.
