What is cucsVmHvPolicyOwner?
This CucsPolicyPolicyOwner value identifies who owns and can modify the policy governing a hypervisor host (ESX/ESXi) that UCS Manager discovered through its VMware integration -- either UCS Manager locally or an external controlling system. An admin troubleshooting a policy that won't change through the local UCS Manager GUI checks cucsVmHvPolicyOwner to see whether ownership has been ceded to an external manager, which would explain why local edits are rejected or ignored. For example, in a UCS domain managed centrally, cucsVmHvPolicyOwner may show ownership assigned away from the local UCS Manager, meaning updates must be made through that central tool instead.
