An administrator uses this to know when the discovered host's virtualization status last changed, which helps when investigating a recent outage or migration. For example, when an administrator is checking which ESXi host, discovered via vCenter integration, a given service profile is actually running on, this timestamp helps the admin correlate a host's last status change with an unrelated alert around the same time.
