What is cucsPciEquipSlotDn?

This is the Distinguished Name (DN) of one physical PCI expansion slot on a server or chassis I/O module, the full slash-delimited path UCS Manager assigns so that one specific instance can be addressed uniquely within its management tree. An admin relies on this DN to tell apart one EquipSlot instance from every sibling instance sharing the same class, because it tells you whether a mezzanine card or riser is present, correctly discovered, and matched to what the host actually reports plugged into it. For a PCIe riser slot on a blade server, this DN is what an SNMP-based inventory tool would follow to walk straight to that one EquipSlot instance's other properties instead of guessing which same-named object in the tree it came from.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.36.2.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-PCI-MIB::cucsPciEquipSlotDn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.36.2.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-PCI-MIB::cucsPciEquipSlotDn.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cucsPciEquipSlotDn.1
