Description: Cisco UCS fault:Policy:flapInterval managed object property
What is cucsFaultPolicyFlapInterval?
This is the time window UCS Manager uses to detect flapping - a fault condition that repeatedly clears and re-raises within this interval. An admin dealing with an intermittent hardware issue, like a marginal SFP causing a link to bounce, relies on flap detection within this window to have UCS Manager treat the repeated raises as one flapping condition worth escalating, rather than as a string of unrelated one-off events each with their own low severity. A flap interval of 3600 seconds means a fault that clears and re-raises multiple times within one hour gets flagged as flapping, prompting a different, typically elevated, response than an isolated single occurrence.
