What is cucsExtpolControllerContGenNum?
This is a generation counter that Cisco UCS Manager increments every time the set of registered Controllers under this container changes (one is added or removed). On cucsExtpolControllerContGenNum, a poller compares this counter to the value it saw last time to decide, cheaply, whether it needs to re-walk the full Controller table at all, instead of doing a full re-scan on every single poll cycle. For example, genNum might read 3065, incrementing by one the next time a controller registers or is removed.
