Description: Cisco UCS extmgmt:GatewayPing:numberOfPingRequests managed object property

What is cucsExtmgmtGatewayPingNumberOfPingRequests?

This is the configured number of consecutive unanswered ping requests to the gateway required before the management path is declared down. Like the ARP-request-count setting, this debounce value determines how many missed gateway pings in a row must occur before committing to failover, protecting against a single dropped ping causing an unnecessary interface switch. A value of 5 here means the gateway would need to miss five consecutive pings, not just one, before this specific detection method declares the management path down.
