Description: Cisco UCS extmgmt:GatewayPing:maxDeadlineTimeout managed object property

What is cucsExtmgmtGatewayPingMaxDeadlineTimeout?

This is the configured maximum time UCS will wait for ping replies from the default gateway before declaring the management path unreachable via this method. This timeout controls the responsiveness of gateway-based failover detection specifically, and like its ARP-target counterpart, setting it too aggressively risks false failovers from momentary gateway congestion rather than a real outage. A maxDeadlineTimeout of 5 seconds here would mean five seconds of unanswered pings to the gateway triggers this failure-detection path, independent of whatever the ARP-target timeout is set to.
