Description: An indication of whether Transparent pass through feature is enabled. This feature allows an unauthenticated subscriber traffic to be routed through SSG in either direction.

What is cssgCfgTransPassThroughEnabled?

Enables SSG's Transparent Pass-Through feature, allowing traffic from a subscriber who hasn't authenticated yet to still flow through SSG in both directions. This is the setting that decides whether an unauthenticated user is blocked outright or allowed limited connectivity, so that Transparent Auto Logon (tracked via the cssgTal* objects) can silently identify and authorize them from their traffic pattern rather than requiring an explicit portal login. An operator relying on Transparent Auto Logon so subscribers never see a login page would enable cssgCfgTransPassThroughEnabled so the very first packets from a new device are allowed through long enough for SSG to recognize the subscriber.
