What Is CISCO-PSM-MIB-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-PSM-MIB-CAPABILITY is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module declaring which Port Security Manager (PSM) objects of the companion CISCO-PSM-MIB a given Cisco switching platform supports. It contains no runtime data, only SUPPORTS statements used by management stations to determine which MAC-address-based port-security configuration and violation objects are implemented. As a capabilities-only module it does not directly monitor hardware or software status; that is the function of CISCO-PSM-MIB, which defines actual port-security state and violation counters. It is entirely dependent on CISCO-PSM-MIB for operational meaning. It is used in NMS tooling for Cisco switches enforcing MAC-address-based port access control. Engineers can download the CISCO-PSM-MIB-CAPABILITY file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
