The preference of the MGC in the MGC group. The lower the number the higher the preference. i.e. 1 will have higher preference than 2.

What is cMgcGrpMgcPreference?

This OID holds a priority number for a media gateway in a group (lower numbers have higher priority). You can read and create this preference to control failover order. A network operator would set this when deploying redundant gateways to ensure calls are routed to the most capable system first.
