Description: Manages time-scheduled WLAN availability windows on Cisco lightweight wireless LAN controllers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-LWAPP-SCHEDULED-WLAN-MIB?

CISCO-LWAPP-SCHEDULED-WLAN-MIB is a Cisco proprietary MIB for wireless LAN controllers (WLCs) that terminate the Lightweight Access Point Protocol (LWAPP) tunnel from Cisco lightweight access points. It exposes configuration data related to calendar-based WLAN availability profiles, including schedule names, start/end times, recurrence patterns, and weekly/monthly recurrence details. Rather than hardware health telemetry, this MIB is primarily a configuration/state-management MIB, letting an administrator verify that a WLAN's scheduled on/off windows (row status, active/inactive state) are correctly provisioned and enforced by the controller. It builds on the broader CISCO-LWAPP MIB family used to manage the CC-to-AP relationship, so it is typically deployed alongside other LWAPP MIBs rather than standalone. It is used in enterprise and campus wireless deployments where WLANs need to be automatically enabled or disabled on a time-of-day/day-of-week schedule (e.g., guest networks active only during business hours). Engineers can download the CISCO-LWAPP-SCHEDULED-WLAN-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-LWAPP-SCHEDULED-WLAN-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco wireless LAN controller (WLC)
  • Cisco lightweight access point (LWAPP-based)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll cLCalendarProfileConfigTable (via cLCalendarProfileName, cLCalendarProfileStartTime, cLCalendarProfileEndTime, cLCalendarProfileRecurrence) to confirm a WLAN's scheduled availability window is configured as intended. The cLCalendarProfileWeeklyConfigTable and cLCalendarProfileMonthlyConfigTable let the admin verify per-day recurrence (cLCalendarProfileWeeklyProfileDay) is correctly applied. An unexpected cLCalendarProfileRowStatus value (e.g., notInService) would reveal a misconfigured or disabled schedule causing a WLAN to stay up or down outside its intended window.

What Can Be Monitored

  • calendar profile schedule status
  • WLAN scheduled start/end time
  • recurrence pattern (daily/weekly/monthly)
  • weekly profile day configuration
  • row status of scheduled profiles
