Description: Declares agent capability for the Cisco ITP Multi-Layer Routing MIB.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-ITP-MLR-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-ITP-MLR-CAPABILITY is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module for the CISCO-ITP-MLR-MIB, which covers Multi-Layer Routing within Cisco's ITP SS7 signaling gateway product line. It belongs to the SS7/telecom signaling technology area and defines no managed objects of its own. It is not used to monitor hardware or software status directly -- it exists to declare which CISCO-ITP-MLR-MIB groups a given agent implementation supports. It is entirely dependent on the CISCO-ITP-MLR-MIB it profiles. It is consulted by NMS/MIB tooling during capability negotiation rather than polled for operational monitoring. Engineers can download the CISCO-ITP-MLR-CAPABILITY file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-ITP-MLR-CAPABILITY. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Cisco ITP SS7 signaling gateways
Monitoring Examples
This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module with no runtime data objects -- it only declares support for groups in CISCO-ITP-MLR-MIB, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe.
