Description:
The number of status indicator 'busy' link status signal units transmitted on this link. The SIB indicates that level two is congested at the transmitting Signalling point.
What is cgspLinkTransmittedSIBs?
This OID counts how many busy-signal messages have been sent on a signaling link to indicate upstream congestion (used in telephony networks). When a switch is overwhelmed with call requests, it sends SIB signals to tell other switches to slow down, and this counter tracks how often that happened. A telecom operator watches this counter to identify overloaded signaling links that need additional capacity.
