Category: Cisco Devices, Network Monitoring (RMON), Textual Conventions and Registries
Description: Defines textual conventions used across Cisco IP SLA MIBs including operation types and statistics identifiers.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-IPSLA-TC-MIB?
CISCO-IPSLA-TC-MIB is a Cisco Systems proprietary MIB defining shared textual conventions used across the family of Cisco IP SLA (IPSLA/SAA — Service Assurance Agent) measurement MIBs, covering MPLS/LSP-related acronyms (FEC, LPD, LSP), round-trip-time and calculated-impairment-factor (ICPIF) types. It carries no data objects of its own — as a structural MIB it exists so other Cisco IPSLA MIBs can import consistent, reusable type definitions. It underlies the Cisco IP SLA measurement MIB family. Engineers can download the CISCO-IPSLA-TC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-IPSLA-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Cisco routers (IP SLA measurement MIB family)
Monitoring Examples
A MIB browser loads CISCO-IPSLA-TC-MIB automatically when parsing another Cisco IP SLA MIB module, resolving the shared type definitions those modules' objects are declared with.
