Description: The number of seconds for which the receipt of the most recent IGMP Membership Report for a particular IP multicast group on a particular interface indicates that there is currently a member of that group on that interface.

What is igmpMemberReportTimeout?

This sets the number of seconds for which receipt of the most recent IGMP Membership Report for a group on an interface is considered evidence that a member is still present on that interface, per its description. It's effectively the group membership aging timer: too short a value risks prematurely dropping a still-interested receiver between its periodic reports, while too long a value keeps forwarding multicast traffic to a segment that lost its last member. A value of 260 seconds means a receiver has to be silent for over four minutes before this router considers the group membership expired on that interface.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.4.1.3.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-IPMCAST-MIB::igmpMemberReportTimeout

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.4.1.3.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-IPMCAST-MIB::igmpMemberReportTimeout.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.4.1.3.2.1 i <value>
