Description: The number of GTP messages received with an information element that is not expected in the GTP message, but is defined in GTP. GTP messages with unexpected IEs are processed as if the IE was not present.

A read-only counter of GTP messages containing an information element that is valid under GTP but not expected for that particular message type; such unexpected IEs are ignored during processing.
