Description: The interval time over which the CEF traffic statistics are collected.

What is cefCfgTrafficStatsLoadInterval?

This sets the time interval, in seconds, over which CEF traffic statistics are collected and averaged. This interval determines the time resolution of derived load metrics; a short interval reacts quickly to bursty traffic changes but can look noisy, while a longer interval smooths out reported load figures at the cost of hiding short spikes, so the choice affects how responsive an admin's traffic-based decisions, like triggering load-balancing changes, actually are. An admin monitoring for brief traffic bursts on a critical link might shorten this interval from a 5-minute default to 30 seconds to get load statistics fine-grained enough to catch those bursts rather than having them averaged away.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.492.1.4.1.1.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-CEF-MIB::cefCfgTrafficStatsLoadInterval

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.492.1.4.1.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-CEF-MIB::cefCfgTrafficStatsLoadInterval.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.492.1.4.1.1.8.1 i <value>
