carRedundancySyncInterval

Module: CISCO-APPLIANCE-REDUNDANCY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-APPLIANCE-REDUNDANCY-MIB::carRedundancySyncInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.458.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeInterval

Access: read-only

Description: Time interval at which the active and standby appliances are synchronized. Synchronization consists of incrementally backing up the data on the active appliance and restoring on the standby appliance.

What is carRedundancySyncInterval?

This reports how frequently the active and standby appliances in this HA pair perform their incremental data synchronization, where the process consists of backing up data from the active node and restoring it onto the standby. This value directly determines how much data could potentially be lost or out of sync if a failover occurs right before the next scheduled sync -- a longer interval means more time between the standby's data and the active's true current state. For example, if this interval is set to 300 seconds and a failover happens 290 seconds after the last sync, the new active node could be missing up to nearly 5 minutes of data that hadn't yet been replicated.
