cienaCesTacacsClientServerResolvedInetAddr
Module: CIENA-CES-TACACS-CLIENT-MIB
OID (symbolic): CIENA-CES-TACACS-CLIENT-MIB::cienaCesTacacsClientServerResolvedInetAddr
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1271.2.3.2.1.1.2.1.1.9
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: InetAddress
Access: read-only
Description: Specifies the resolved IP address if cienaCesTacacsClientServerAddr is set to host name. If cienaCesTacacsClientServerAddr is set to IP address then cienaCesTacacsClientServerResolvedInetAddress contains the same information as cienaCesTacacsClientServerAddr. This OID is used in conjunction with cienaCesTacacsClientServerResolvedInetAddrType.
What is cienaCesTacacsClientServerResolvedInetAddr?
This is the IPv6-capable counterpart to cienaCesTacacsClientServerResolvedAddr, holding the actual resolved address of the TACACS+ server when the configured hostname could resolve to an IPv6 address, and it must be read together with cienaCesTacacsClientServerResolvedInetAddrType to interpret the byte format correctly. An admin migrating a TACACS+ deployment to IPv6 would check this object to confirm the switch actually resolved and is using the IPv6 literal rather than silently falling back to IPv4. For example, this might show '2001:db8:100::5' once DNS and the switch's IPv6 stack are both working correctly for that server hostname.
