What is cienaCesTacacsClientGlobalAccountingUnknownTypes?
This counter records accounting-port packets of an unrecognized type, distinct from a malformed packet since the header framing is intact but the packet type itself isn't one the switch's TACACS+ client understands. This is a rare counter to see move in a stable deployment, and when it does, it usually means the accounting server has been upgraded to a protocol revision the switch firmware predates. For example, a vendor's accounting server adding a new record type for extended session metadata could trigger this counter on switches running older TACACS+ client code.
