Description: The number of authentication timeouts to this server. After a timeout the client may retry sending to the same server, send to a different server, or give up. A retry to the same server is counted as a retransmit as well as a timeout. A send to a different server is counted as a request as well as a timeout.

What is cienaCesTacacsClientGlobalAccountingTimeouts?

This counter tracks accounting requests that timed out waiting for a server response, following the same double-counting rule as the other timeout counters. Because accounting failures are silent to the end user, this counter is one of the few ways an admin can detect audit logging degrading before discovering the gap during a post-incident review. For example, a gradually rising accounting-timeout count over several days without any corresponding user complaints is a classic sign of an accounting server quietly running out of capacity.
