Description: The number of TACACS Access-Request packets sent to this server. This does not include retransmissions.

What is cienaCesTacacsClientGlobalAccountingAccessRequests?

This counter tallies TACACS+ Access-Request packets the switch sends purely to log accounting records, session start/stop and command records for audit trails, aggregated across every server configured for accounting and excluding retransmissions. Because accounting failures don't block a user's session, this counter matters mainly for compliance and forensics: an admin doing a post-incident audit needs these records to exist, and a suspiciously low count relative to known session activity would explain missing log entries. For example, if 50 admin sessions ran overnight but this counter only shows 10 requests, most sessions have no accounting trail.
