cienaCesRapsAlarmNoRapsPduReceivedNotification
Module: CIENA-CES-RAPS-MIB
OID (symbolic): CIENA-CES-RAPS-MIB::cienaCesRapsAlarmNoRapsPduReceivedNotification
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1271.2.2.18.0.4
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description: On a major-ring, a node is not receiving any R-APS messages on a ringlet port for at least 3.5 consecutive long R-APS frame intervals (i.e. 3.5 * 5 = total 17.5 seconds) while that ring port does not report any link level failures and is not administratively disabled. On a sub-ring, a node is not receiving R-APS messages on either ringlet port for at least 3.5 consecutive long R-APS frame intervals (i.e. 3.5 * 5 = total 17.5 seconds) while that ring port does not report any link level failures and is not administratively disabled. To enable this notification, cienaCesRapsAlarmTrapState must be enabled. By default this trap state is enabled. Variable bindings include: cienaGlobalSeverity, cienaGlobalMacAddress, cienaCesRapsVirtualRingNotifIndex, cienaCesRapsVirtualRingName, and cienaCesRapsVirtualRingAlarm.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' CIENA-CES-RAPS-MIB::cienaCesRapsAlarmNoRapsPduReceivedNotification snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.1271.2.2.18.0.4
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:61675->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (141957867) 16 days, 10:19:38.67 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: CIENA-CES-RAPS-MIB::cienaCesRapsAlarmNoRapsPduReceivedNotification
