cienaCesOamErrFrameSecsSummaryThreshold
Module: CIENA-CES-OAM-MIB
OID (symbolic): CIENA-CES-OAM-MIB::cienaCesOamErrFrameSecsSummaryThreshold
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1271.2.3.5.1.1.8.1.9
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-only
Description: The number of errored frame seconds that must occur for this event to be triggered. The default value is one errored frame second.
If cienaCesOamErrFrameSecsSummaryThreshold frame errors occur within a window of cienaCesOamErrFrameSecsSummaryWindow (in tenths of seconds), an Event Notification OAMPDU should be generated with an Errored Frame Seconds Summary Event TLV indicating the threshold has been crossed in this window.
What is cienaCesOamErrFrameSecsSummaryThreshold?
This read-only Integer32 (0 to 65535, in errored frame seconds) defines how many one-second intervals containing at least one frame error must occur within the summary window to trigger this event, per its description, defaulting to just one errored second. Because 'errored seconds' counts intervals with any error rather than raw error count, this metric is less sensitive to burst size and more sensitive to how spread out errors are over time, which is a useful complementary view to the raw errFrame threshold. An engineer distinguishing a link with one bad burst versus one with errors trickling in across many separate seconds would use this errored-seconds metric, since both scenarios could produce very different values here despite similar total error counts.
