Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: This object represents the Far Loss Threshold Fault for the Synthetic Loss Measurement test. A value of -1 disables the generation of faults. A value of 0 or greater is compared to the synthetic loss near result of the test and a fault is generated if the threshold is exceeded.

What is cienaCesCfmSyntheticLossSessionLossFarThreshold?

This is the far-end counterpart to the near-loss threshold, setting the loss level measured at the remote end of the test above which this session raises a fault, with -1 again disabling that fault entirely. Configuring separate near and far thresholds matters because loss can be asymmetric; a shared uplink congested only in one direction would show elevated loss on just one end, and independent thresholds let the alarm reflect that asymmetry rather than using one blended number.
