Description: This object is used as to specify the remote MEP last port status.

What is cienaCesCfmRemoteMEPLastPortStatus?

This reports the last port status (unknown, none, blocked, or up) that this remote MEP signaled via the port-status TLV in its CCM traffic, giving visibility into whether the far end's port is actually forwarding data traffic, not merely that CFM signaling itself is reaching this end. An admin distinguishes this from the MEP's own operational/failure state, since a remote MEP can be reachable and healthy for CFM purposes while its port status still reports 'blocked' (e.g. due to spanning tree) and therefore not actually passing customer traffic. For example, a remote MEP reporting 'up' overall but cienaCesCfmRemoteMEPLastPortStatus showing 'blocked' would tell the admin the CFM session itself is fine but the underlying data-plane port is not forwarding, likely due to a loop-prevention protocol.
