This counts the linktrace replies this MEP has received back from linktraces it itself initiated, letting an admin verify, MEP by MEP, whether a specific circuit's path-trace attempts are actually getting hop responses back or stalling. If this MEP's linktrace to a target 3 hops away should generate 3 replies but this counter only shows 1 new increment per attempt, that pinpoints exactly which MEP's path is failing to trace fully.
