This counts delay-measurement replies this MEP has received back after sending its own DMM probes, the data this MEP needs locally to compute round-trip or one-way delay to its specific remote peer. A shortfall between DMMs sent and DMRs received for this one MEP directly quantifies measured packet loss on the delay-test path to that particular peer, separate from whatever delay value the test itself reports.
