This is the linktrace equivalent, tracking the sequence or transaction number this MEP expects to assign to or match against the next linktrace message on this service and port. Like its LBM counterpart, it is largely an internal bookkeeping value, but comparing it against the last recorded LTM sequence number for the most recent actual test tells an admin how many linktrace attempts, successful or not, have incremented this counter since that last recorded test.
