This counts the Loss Measurement Replies this device has sent in response to LMM probes received from a remote MEP measuring loss to this device, with the frame-count fields this device fills in being what lets the far end actually compute the loss ratio. Since an incomplete or delayed LMR would corrupt the remote party's loss calculation, this counter tracking closely with the Rx-LMM counter confirms this device is reliably completing its half of every loss-measurement exchange. A gap between LMRs sent and LMMs received would mean this device itself is dropping or failing to answer some loss-measurement probes, feeding a falsely pessimistic loss number back to whoever is running that SLA test.
