This tracks the total number of Loopback Messages this device has transmitted, the on-demand, admin-triggered CFM ping used to verify reachability to a specific remote MEP by MAC address. Unlike the always-running CCM counters, this one should stay flat between manual tests and only jump when an operator actively runs a loopback test against a remote MEP, so its value is a good audit trail of how often on-demand connectivity checks have been run from this device. Seeing this counter jump by exactly 5 right after an admin runs a loopback with a count of 5 toward a suspect MEP is the expected, traceable behavior.
