This counts loopback replies received whose payload content did not match what this device's own LBM had requested to be echoed back, since LBRs are supposed to mirror specific fields from the originating LBM. A mismatch here is a stronger integrity signal than simple reachability: the reply arrived, but its data cannot be trusted, which could point to a buggy CFM implementation on the far end or, more rarely, frame corruption in transit. If this counter increments consistently against one specific remote MEP's replies while other MEPs' loopback tests show zero mismatches, that isolates the problem to that one remote device's LBR-generation logic.
