This counts Linktrace Replies this device has sent, generated either because this device is the final target of someone else's linktrace, or because it is an intermediate MIP along the path that must reply and then relay the LTM onward. Every hop a linktrace passes through should generate exactly one LTR, so this counter's increments effectively record how many times this device has been asked to identify itself as part of someone else's path trace. If a remote operator's linktrace toward a target beyond this device correctly reports this device as one of the hops, this counter incrementing confirms this device did its part.
