This counts LTMs received that this device cannot resolve to a locally known MEP or MIP, or to a forwarding decision, mirroring the unresolved-LBM counter but for path-trace requests instead of loopback pings. This typically happens when a linktrace's target MAC address does not correspond to anything currently reachable from this device's forwarding table, so it cannot determine how or whether to relay the trace onward. A rising count here after a MAC address ages out of the forwarding table, for instance because the target device has been powered off longer than the aging timeout, is a normal side effect rather than a device fault.
