This reports the single largest jitter value, in microseconds, observed during a completed delay-measurement test run, the measured counterpart to the configured maximum-jitter threshold. An admin uses this the same way as the maximum delay figure, to catch an isolated severe jitter spike that could have disrupted a real-time application even if it was too brief or infrequent to move the average jitter figure much. For example, a voice circuit passing on average jitter but showing a maximum jitter well above its configured threshold would explain a customer's sporadic call-quality complaints that don't show up as a sustained trend.
