Description: This object indicates the threshold value for average jitter in microseconds.

What is cienaCesCfmDelayMsgAverageJitterThreshold?

This sets the threshold, in microseconds, for average jitter that triggers a fault when exceeded during a delay-measurement test, distinct from the average delay threshold since jitter (delay variability) and raw delay are different performance dimensions that can each independently violate an SLA. An admin sets this specifically for services sensitive to jitter, such as voice or synchronization traffic, where consistent delay matters as much as or more than the absolute delay figure itself. For example, cienaCesCfmDelayMsgAverageJitterThreshold set to 50 on a voice-carrying EVC would flag a fault if the average measured jitter creeps above 50 microseconds, even if the average delay itself stays well within its own separate threshold.
